happy new year! may the new year bring the best in life and heres wishing that it is the best we have ever had... CHEERS!

the past year was a complete roller coaster ride for in many ways. last new years, i was in chennai, fishing out for the deceased in an excuse for a boat and a garden rake. 2005 taught me to value life more than anything and tell the people i love just that - i love you.

2005 was the year i actually grew up - acted like an adult and took full charg of my life. it was also the year that:

~ I got 2nd degree burns over 90% of my face and upper torso
~ I graduated from college
~ got my first paycheck as a graduate
~ lost one of my best friends
~ Found four amazing guys who I would kill for instead
~ Lord (D)uck smiled while he played and also at me
~ I got kissed by a rose :)
~ I learned the lessons of life
~ I got caught for public nuisance. J, D and Yoda - stop sniggering

There are several more landmark moments, but i failed to bookmark them in my memory, so those pages will emerge as I ramble on this year.

As people crib, cry and beat their brows when it comes to Bangalore, I would just like to remind the guys brought up here that this too shall pass and we shall be redeemed. There is something in the smell of the soil here that makes me want to call it home. I understand that I will not perpetually be in Bangalore or even India for that matter, but this will still be home. it will still be home for the simple reason that there is something in the air that clings to my pores and makes me a part of this free-for-all circus that has become a lifestyle in this city.

I heart Bangalore and i always will - no matter what. it has made me who i am today. thank you, bangalore.
